If You Are Injured While Volunteering for Pasado’s Safe Haven
(At the sanctuary or at an off-site location)

  • Notify a staff member immediately.

  • Seek first aid as needed. Locations of on-site first aid kits are listed below.

  • If medical care is required, visit the provider of your choice and report the injury as an L&I claim, listing Pasado’s Safe Haven as the employer.

  • Nearest walk-in clinic to the sanctuary: Providence, 19200 N Kelsey St, Monroe, WA 98272.

  • Complete an Incident Report as soon as possible for all injuries, no matter how minor. LINK

Important: Company policy requires professional medical attention for all cat bites that break the skin.

First Aid Kit Locations at the Sanctuary

  • People Barn – Outside the volunteer office

  • Shop – Next to the utility sink

  • Pasado’s House – In the mud room

  • Kitty City – Near the bathroom, there are also epsom salts in Kitty City if you wish to soak any scratches as part of your first aid

  • NARN – In the Caregiver office

  • Cow Barn – In the tack room

  • Dog Towne – In Houndquarters, to the left of the door

  • Healing Barn – Near the whiteboard

  • Reiner – In the garage
