Opportunity summaries (all chores for each area are not listed here. this is a sampling):

  • Spay/Neuter and Vaccine Clinicsmonitoring animals in recovery, making and sterilizing spay packs, cleaning, interacting with clients on intake and during pick up, assembling E-collars, locations in Renton and Tumwater
  • Pigs/Birds - help scoop poop in the pig yards, spot or deep clean bird barns, clean water buckets/troughs, enrichment
  • Old Barn/Ruminants - muck stalls in Old Barn, NARN, NARN side yard, cows (spot cleaning or strip as appropriate), clean and refresh water buckets, replace bedding pellets as needed, scoop poop in the yards, remove old blackberry vines & branches, enrichment
  • Projects - maintenance, landscaping, painting, food bank inventory and storing, produce cutting, laundry, etc.
  • Kitty City - scoop litter boxes, sweep, mop, laundry, dishes, wash counters, replace bedding as needed, clean and refresh water bowls/fountains, other cleaning as needed, deep clean walls and floor occasionally, enrichment
  • Dog Towne - clean dog pods (rooms), scoop yards, laundry, sweep, mop, wash and refill water, walk dogs, off leash dog park, enrichment
  • Enrichment - daily fun activities to keep the animal residents engaged emotionally and mentally, produce cutting - separate shifts for Farm and Dog Towne.
  • Produce Prep - cut an assortment of produce for the farmed animals
  • Healing Barn - must be 18+ y.o., clean ISO (isolation) rooms, muck stalls, scoop litter boxes, walk dogs (dog training required), sweep, mop, laundry, dishes, other cleaning tasks as needed, enrichment
