Hello My Friends,
I don't have much in the way of sanctuary updates, at least not the sexy ones. Its more the mundane, where your rain gear, expect to be ankle deep in mud.........or poo. Cold and dark and dark and rainy and dark. However, they are important things to remember. The weather is rough here and unless you're in Kitty City please expect to be in it. Project folk Jen & I will always try and get you inside out of the rain but sometimes that's just not possible so please don't show up in flip flops.
The "Get To Know Your Team" profile cards are up outside the volunteer office. Jen mentioned it in the newsletter a few days ago. If you would like to participate, please go on the volunteer site, look for the "Get to Know Your Team" tab. Answer the questions your comfortable with, you don't have to answer everyone. Submit it and email me a photo that you would like to use. It's a fun way for all of us to learn about each other. Let me know if you have any questions.
Nothing much is happening on the farm right now. No movements that I'm aware of, everyone is in reasonably good health. The only updates are from the dog & cat worlds........again.
10 cats made their way from the healing barn yesterday to Kitty City. For right now they are staff only and because they are part of an active cruelty case, NO PHOTO'S. There is still 20 cats waiting to come up plus I believe we just brought in another 5 cats yesterday. Pretty exciting really that we are able to rescue so many. With how amazing our kitty volunteers are, I can't wait for them all to move up. There lives are changing right now for the better thanks to all of you.
On the dog front, no new arrivals but we did have an adoption and a foster this week. Big Mack & Monty both got adopted and Charlie went into foster. I'm not going to get too excited about adoptions because we have had way too many returns lately. I hope and pray that Big Mac and Monty have found their forever home. You will recall a few weeks ago I was going on about Brew getting adopted then 3 days later he was returned. That was heart breaking to say the least; however, it appears the Old man has another hopeful family wanting to adopt. He is scheduled to go to his new and hopefully last home this Monday. As loving as I can say this, I hope to never see those 3 here again.
Ok that's it for another week. I hope you all are surviving the holiday madness and enjoying the lights and different festivities. As gloomy as this weather can be at times, seeing you all out here warms our hearts and lifts our spirits so thank you, thank you, thank you!
Have a great weekend and rest of the week.
Stay Amazing!
